Every year, Partners in Education will choose one particular school to send supplies, money, and whatever they might need. For this school year, it chose College de La Renaissance La Montagne – an elementary school in the town of La Montagne. Partners in Education is teaming up with Friends of the Children association, who sends a medical and dental team about twice a year.
On Thursday, October 23rd, from 5-7 p.m., please join us for a Spaghetti Dinner in the cafeteria in between your parent-teacher conferences. For $5, you get spaghetti (meatballs optional), garlic bread, unlimited lemonade and coffee, and dessert. All proceeds will go towards the Haitian flood victims, who are desperately still in need. According to our Haitian source, close to 90% of the homes in the La Montagne region have been destroyed. We will have a donation collection available. Please come and help make a difference!
Big or small, your donation can help give the gift of education to several Haitian children. You may donate cash by giving it in a sealed envelope to NHS President Anup Parikh, NHS Treasurer Shravan Chintalapani, or NHS Advisor Mrs. Weeks. We also accept checks payable to National Honor Society. Please feel free to contact Anup Parikh or Mrs. Weeks with any questions.
